Nokia once had maintained its dominance in market before a decade but after the introduction of Android and IOS, it kept losing its market share. Because of unavialability of hardware production required for android, they were unable to introduce new android powered smartphone.
Nokia’s market share decreased rapidly and In addition they had to sell their maximum share to Microsoft corporation. Many people are still curious with what the brand could offer this year. It is expected that after HMD’s acquisition of the company, the phone will likely be running an Android OS rather than the usual Microsoft OS. This Android line-up is rumored to be lead by the company’s flagship phone, Nokia Edge.
There is still no confirmation on what the brand’s flagship could really offer to consumers. However, it is being rumored that the Edge will be bezel-less, running on Android 7.0 Nougat with 6GB RAM. Additionally, the upcoming phones will be within a $450-500 price range, according to Price Pony.
Another budget friendly Android phone will be unveiled by the mobile giant as their mid-range mobile. The upcoming mid-range product has been named by many as Nokia D1C. This product line is intended to lure price conscious consumers worldwide.
As of the moment there are still no official details about the price of Nokia D1C. However, leaks of its specs have been shared online which includes 1080p touchscreen, 2GB of RAM, 13 MP main camera, an 8 MP selfie camera, and 16GB of built-in storage. Furthermore, it will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 chipset, sporting a 1.4 GHz octa-core Cortex-A53 CPU and an Adreno 505 GPU.
