Budget Gaming PC under $500 : Budget PC Build 2018 [CONSOLE KILLER!!]

Gaming PCs are being more popular these days. Though there are competitors like X- Box and Play Stations Consoles and high price, PC gaming has always been a first choice of most of the people out there. There are various specs according to different price ranges and taste of people to build a perfect gaming PC setup. In this session we were given a challenge to build a good budget Gaming PC under $500. Building a budget gaming PC under $500 is all about compromises . It may not look good from outside  but from specs it will be a beast . After researching on the web for few days we’ve found the best specs we can get under $500. We have listed some of the pretty decent Specs we’ve got in the market to build a budget Gaming PC under $500 .

NOTE: All the prices given below are in United States Dollar and are subject to change with time.

Specification For Budget Gaming PC under $500

Below I have listed all the components which i used in my $500 gaming PC build

The first component thought while building a Gaming PC is the Graphics Processing Unit or  video card. In this build  we are using a Gigabyte Geforce GTX 1050 Ti 4GB Graphic Card.  It  is priced currently at whopping $154 on Amazon eating nearly 30% of our budget . It is  incredibly power efficient  . which also proves for excellent performance for this price range. This  GPU is good for future VR performance and should have no problem playing today’s latest AAA titles in 60 frames 1080p while conquering many titles in 1440p at the same rate.

For this tight budget build The Intel core i3 7100 is the best processor to pick. The Core i3-7100 is built around Intel’s modern Skylake platform. In the future, you could drop in a Core i5 or Core i7 chip for a massive performance upgrade, and Intel’s next-gen Kaby Lake chips are expected to use the same socket. There’s room to grow with the i3-7100. It’s only a dual-core chip, but hyper-threading means it                                                    effectively has four. It is currently in amazon for $99.

How much good our graphics card, processor , RAM is but it is all no of use until and unless your motherboard is a decent one. So for this budget pc  build we’re going for MSI Gaming Intel Skylake H110 LGA 1151 DDR4 USB 3.1 Micro ATX Motherboard which is priced at  $64. This amazing motherboard not only gives a perfect platform for all your components but is also very affordable compared to its competitors at same price point. It supports 6th gen Intel core i7/i5/i3/ Pentium/ Celeron Processors. Has 2 x DDR4-2133 DIMM Slots for RAM extending up yo max. capacity of 32 GB. For Power it sports  1 x 24 pin ATX Main Power Connector and 1 x 4pin ATX 12 V Power Connector

Power Supply

With a $500 budget, we’re trying to go max performance while still trying to maintain quality parts. While it may seem difficult to find a decent Power supply in the under or around $30 category there are a couple I’d recommend.

First and foremost are the EVGA 430W and 500W Bronze certified power supplies. I wouldn’t rank these in the top tier; however, they’re perfect for a budget and offer decent energy efficiency..

For this build we have allocated $30 for the casing. and this will be the greatest compromise. Here in this budget your pc will not look liike a beast from outside yet it will be a powerpacked system. For about 30$ there are lot of options and here we are going for a Rosewill Micro ATX Mini Tower Computer Case SRM-01.  coming up with sturdy construction this case is ideal for Intel and AMD systems. It supports motherboards upto Micro ATX and standard ATX PS2 Power Suply. Features 2 x USB 2.0 and a USB 3.0 port and Audio out ans mic in ports. It also comes with a 80 mm fan at rear pre-installed.

Here while selecting the RAM , we’ve spent a lot of time researching which would fit in this build. finally we’ve got the right piece of Memory stick. we’ve decided to go with the Corsair Vengeance LPX 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR4 DRAM. Priced at about $93 in Amazon   Vengeance LPX memory is designed for high-performance overclocking.

The heatspreader is made of pure aluminum for faster heat dissipation, and the eight-layer PCB helps manage heat and provides superior overclocking headroom. Each IC is individually screened for performance potential. The DDR4 form factor is optimized for the latest Intel X99 Series motherboards and offers higher frequencies, greater bandwidth, and lower power consumption than DDR3 modules. Vengeance LPX DDR4 modules are compatibility-tested across X99 Series motherboards for reliably fast performance. There’s XMP 2.0 support for trouble-free automatic overclocking. And, they’re available in multiple colors to match your motherboard, your components, or just your style.

With this budget we can’t think of going with a SSD Flash Drive. So a good it secondary storage for this build is Seagate 1TB BarraCuda Internal Hard Drive. With a price of around $50 it offers Cost-effective storage upgrade for laptop or desktop computers.  It’ll store all your games, music, files, and more with high effeciency. The SATA 6Gb/s interface optimizes burst performance. The Seagate BarraCuda models are secured by hardware based data security. The Instant Secure Erase allows safe and easy drive retirement, plus protects data with Self-Encrypting Drive (SED).

The total cost while building this PC comes about $525.
